Customer
The Customer undertakes to comply with these terms and conditions and the merchant-specific terms and conditions when purchasing products and services on the Internet services of Suomen Latu ry.
General terms and conditions
The prices shown on the website include VAT.
We apply dynamic pricing. Prices are time-dependent and vary from month to month, week to week and day to day.
We sell products to adult individuals and business customers.
We reserve the right to change prices.
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
We reserve the right to change our terms of delivery. Before placing an order, the customer must read the terms and conditions of delivery in force at the time.
Booking terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the products and services you rent and book. These are collectively referred to as the "item".
Booking
The course can be booked through the online shop. The booking is always binding.
It is the customer's responsibility to read the description and instructions of the product to be booked and the terms and conditions of the booking.
The reservation made by the customer is binding when the order, reservation or payment confirmation is sent to the email address provided by the customer. Course bookings postponed to another date are subject to the same conditions as the original bookings.
The customer pays for the reservation according to the payment method chosen by the customer and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the payment method.
The course is paid in advance at the time of booking.
Private lesson bookings made by e-mail: the booking of a private lesson is binding from the moment the customer confirms that he/she wishes to book a specific time for a course. Payment is made by means of a separate payment link and must be made 7 days before the course, or immediately after confirmation if the course is less than 7 days away.
The booking system sends an order/payment confirmation to the email address provided by the customer.
The merchant is not responsible for a failed booking and the customer should contact the merchant immediately to rectify the situation.
The merchant gives no guarantee that the item is still free in this situation.
If the item is not available, the money will be refunded or, if possible, another item will be offered in its place.
The booking is automatically registered in the booking system of Suomen Latu.
It is the customer's responsibility to read the course description, instructions and conditions carefully before booking. The instructor has the right to remove a participant from the course if equipment, clothing or skills do not comply with the instructions and course description.
Cancellation terms
The course will take place regardless of the weather conditions, provided that the ski trails are in skiable condition. Exceptions are severe frosts (around -15 degrees below zero), storms or other exceptional weather conditions. Any cancellation/transfer due to frost or storm will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Any changes or cancellations will be notified to the customer personally.
Clients must bring their own weatherproof warm clothing.
The course will be take place according to the number of participants mentioned in the course description.
Mechant cancellations:
If the course has to be cancelled, the merchant will inform each participant of the cancellation separately.
If the course is cancelled by the merchant, you will receive a full refund of the course fees paid. Reasons for cancellation can be illness of the instructor, bad skiing conditions, exceptional weather. Please remember that the course is not cancelled by the organiser if the participants have not been informed separately by phone, email or SMS.
Participant cancellations:
General courses on weekdays at or after 17:00: cancellations must be made by 12:00 on the course day.
General courses on weekdays before 17:00: cancellation must be made by 18:00 the day before.
Moomin ski schools: cancellations must be made by 15:00 the day before.
Cancellation of a private lesson less than 24 hours before the course: 100% charge despite a medical certificate.
Course cancellations must ALWAYS be reported! Failure to attend a course is not a cancellation. Cancellations must always be made by email before the course to paloheina@suomenlatu.fi.
In case of illness, we will refund the fees minus 15€ office fees if the client provides a medical certificate by post Paloheinän hiihtopalvelu, Pakilantie 124, 00670 Helsinki tor by email paloheina@suomenlatu.fi. The general course can be transfered to another date for free when the customer provides a medical certificate.
Without a medical certificate, the course can be transferred once, office fees 15€. To be able to transfer, the customer must cancel before the course starts, by the deadline mentioned above.
The days and times of the standard 4 times ski school cannot be changed to other courses.
Failure to attend a course without giving notice before the start of the course does not entitle the participant to a refund or postponement of the course.
Private course and equipment rental for groups terms and conditions
The booking is binding from the moment the customer confirms that they are booking a specific date for a course.
The final number of persons and the necessary rental equipment must be confirmed at least 14 days before the event.
The event will be invoiced according to the number of persons confirmed.
If the customer cancels the event completely, the following conditions will apply:
Cancellation more than 14 days before the event free of charge.
Cancellation 5-14 days before the event, 50% of the confirmed total will be charged.
Cancellation less than 5 days before the event, 100% of the confirmed total will be charged.
Rescheduling by the customer less than 14 days before the event, office charges 30€.
These conditions do not apply if the merchant cancels or postpones the event due to snow or weather conditions, illness of the instructor or other force majeure.
For changes to billing information and sending a credit note, we charge a 15€ office fee.
Billing fee 5€.
Shcool groups terms and conditions
Reservations can be cancelled or rescheduled 7 days before the start of the reservation. Otherwise we will charge the full price of the reservation.
Due to weather conditions, the reservation can be cancelled free of charge (if it is more than -16 degrees below zero outside).
Cancellations must be made in advance by email to paloheina@suomenlatu.fi.
We will charge a 50€ cleaning fee if the equipment is not left neatly in its correct place.
The Customer is responsible for replacing any equipment that has been deliberately broken.
We accept Bosti billing when there are at least 10h bookings for the school during the season.
For changes to billing information and sending a credit note, we charge a 15€ office fee.
Billing fee 5€.
Organiser's right to make changes:
Suomen Latu ry reserves the right to make changes due to changes in prices, force majeure or other circumstances beyond the control of Suomen Latu ry.
Vahinkojen korvaukset
The Customer is liable to compensate the Merchant for any damage caused by the Customer to the object. The Customer is also liable for any other persons visiting the property and for any damage caused by them during the reservation.
The Merchant shall not be liable for any damage or expenses caused to the Customer by natural conditions such as insects, animals, sleet or unexpected weather changes.
If the Customer loses the key, the Customer must compensate the Merchant for the new locks + keys.
Complaints
Any complaints should always be made as soon as possible after the issue arises.
If there is no satisfactory solution or a claim for compensation, the complaint must be sent in writing within one month of the end of the rental period.
The Merchant will endeavour to deal with the complaint as quickly as possible, but not later than one month.
If the Customer and the Merchant do not reach an agreement, the Customer may refer the dispute to the Consumer Complaints Board.
Delivery conditions
Conclusion of the contract
The binding contract for the transaction comes into force when the order is confirmed (order confirmation/payment confirmation).
The order confirmation/confirmation of payment is sent to the customer by email.
Cancellation and return of the transaction
Products are non-returnable.
Product guarantee
We comply with the warranty conditions specified by the manufacturer or importer.
Delivery
Delivery costs include postage and packaging. You can view the delivery costs after you have selected the payment and delivery method for your shopping cart.
Payment terms
The merchant uses reliable and secure payment methods for its services.
The Merchant does not store bank account or credit card information at any time.
The Customer agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of the payment method chosen by the Customer.
Payment by invoice
Billing fee 5€.
The invoice must be paid by the due date indicated on the invoice.
Invoices paid after the due date are always subject to late payment charges. If the invoice is paid after the due date on the original invoice and late payment charges have already been incurred, the charges will be invoiced separately.
If the payment transaction has not been successfully completed at the time of the order, the Merchant will not process the order.
Insurance
Participants are recommended to take personal accident insurance.
Suomen Latu has accident insurance for participants (insurance only applies to permanent residents of Finland).
Suomen Latu has the organiser's liability insurance.
